5 Reasons Why Wrath of the Lich King Didn't Suck (That bad)

Cataclysm will be out in just 7 days. The Lich King is dead. The world has shattered and people everywhere are looking to die in a fire. While standing around in New Orgrimmar I got to thinking.. Why don't people ever look at the positive things Wrath has to offer? Good question. Here are my reasons why Wrath wasn't bad.

5. Paving the Way for Phasing.
Unless you've been living under a rock the past week then you've been doing the revamped old world quests. Phasing was a new thing with Wrath and it was awesome. You actually felt like you had an impact on the game world. I don't know about you but I like the idea of having me killing those 20 murlocs matter.

4. Algalon
If you've never gotten a chance to even wipe to this boss you are missing out. The over all encounter is challenging, fun and unique. Algalon has some of the best dialogue in the game. I'm a titan lore fan so he was pretty much a win for me. You had to defeat a number of bosses on hardmode to access him which was pretty neat as well.

3. Barber Shop/Duel Spec/Deathknights.
I'm a girl so the barber shop was pretty much a huge win for me. I change my priest's hairstyle to suite his outfits for Roleplaying and for when he shadow/holy. I've spent far too much in the barbershop.
3a. Duel Spec was a HUGE thing for wrath. I know being a healer myself I loved not having to shell out 50g every time I wanted to do dailies, pvp or quest.
3b. Deathknights.... Love them, Hate Them, Kill Them they are here to stay. I don't exactly like Deathknights but they are our first hero class and they make pretty good tanks. I hope to see more hero classes in the future.


She should probably look into making her feet smaller too. I mean really have you see how fucking huge female belf feet are?!

2. The Looking for Group System
This is one of the best things Blizzard has done since cross server battlegrounds and the item preview window. I've had nightmare experiences with the LFG system and I've had amazing ones. No matter how you look at it there is no denying that its a grand thing. This was a pretty fun way to level alt before The Shattering. Sadly however they just nerfed the over all experience gains from using the LFG from levels 1-60 which is a good and bad thing.

1. Hardmodes/Ulduar
I kept these two together because they go hand in hand. Ulduar hardmodes were by far the best. I loved the fact you had to trigger something or kill a boss in a different way to do them. I'm not a huge fan of the way they changed hardmodes in ToC and ICC. They weren't fun and were generally uninteresting.
1a. Ulduar was the best thing Wrath had to offer. It was full of interesting bosses, a crazy old god and loads of titian lore. The overall look of the instance was excellent as well!

I just got finished raiding ICC for the last time a few hours ago. Even though I've been staring at those walls for 11 and 1/2 months and I can honestly say that a small part of me will miss it. I hope it becomes a fun place to go back to at say level 90 or higher. Goodbye Wrath of the Lich King. You won't be missed much.

7 LittleThings People Tell You About Healing (That aren't true)

I've been healing since 2005 and I've always heard the same common lies about healers. There are things that are pure opinion and the rest is just pure false information. Well I've decided to clear the air about it all. Here we go!

You have died

7. Healing is just whack-a-mole!
I find this statement funny because I see some 8 year old whacking his keyboard with a giant mallet. There is a lot more to healing than just watching life bars. You have to watch dispells, pay attention to your mana use, know when to drop healing cooldowns, and you have to keep that mage over there alive who thinks fire is a buff.

6. Healers are super easy to play.
Ha! This statement has been true and false in the past. I however like to think it takes intermediate skills to play a healer well enough to raid. When you are a raid healer you have to watch basically everything that's going on as well as watch life bars. You also have to be prepared for someone to aggro an extra trash pull or pull aggro in a heroic. These thing can be hard on someone who hasn't been healing long. I feel that it takes a good while to fall into the the pattern of doing them, then you are on your way to being an awesome raid healer.

5. Healers don't have to learn fights.
This couldn't be further from the truth. We have to learn fights the same way DPS and tanks do. We just learn them in a slightly different way. We have to know where the large spiky raid damage will come from. We have to know if there are things to dispell that are good or bad. You have to know if there will be things dps will stand in and when a good spot to battle res someone would be. We have to learn just as much as DPS do and in some cases even more. (Dreamwalker)

4.Triage isn't fun.
Some of you have been hearing this term over and over the past few months. I've always referred to it when it comes to WoW. Lets define what Triage is before we go further into this topic. Triage:a process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition. Now lets put that in wow terms. Triage: a process on weather or not you've pissed your healer off today. I personally love triage. It allows me to take my support role even further and pick who gets to live. Did that Mage in your guild throw down a port to Stonard instead of Orgimmar? Well he's dead! Have to choose between that guy everyone hates and the top dpser? Guess who died! Honestly though I like the fact that we can turn the tides of battle with one choice.

3. Healing is boring!
It was in some aspects in Wrath and Vanilla WoW, but it can also be loads of fun. I like having to make choices when I heal. Is it boring when no one in your group takes large amounts of damage? Yes Is it boring when you can pull an entire heroic with all the bosses at once and AoE them down? (Lol H UK) No, I think that's fun. Can it be fun when the everyone is taking damage? Yes and No Yes, because I have many aoe healing tools and I've been doing it for years. No, because I'm new to healing and feel overwhelmed. From my point of view healing is fun because of the people I play with. I have fun when I join the RDF (random dungeon finder) because you never know what type of players you will come across. If you find yourself bored with healing no matter what you do then healing isn't for you or you need to try a different healing class!

2. My gems don't matter so long as I just press my buttons.

Call me an ass. Call me a nerd rager. Call me an Elitist but please please please stop with this. Gems MATTER! Gemming correctly in many peoples eyes is just another aspect of playing the game. Minmaxing your gems and spec can greatly increase your healing output. I've had hour long discussions about this. Sure, You can press your healing spells and so long as everyone lives what the point right? The point is if you don't know your class/spec inside and out you aren't playing to your max potential.What does that mean exactly? Well, if the 24 other people in your raid are gemmed, enchanted, glyphed and specced to minmax output then you are being CARRIED. I've seen people with Legendarys who aren't specced, gemmed or enchanted properly. This makes me sad.

1. It's always your fault.
No, its rarely the healers fault. The tank and dps are almost always the people to blame for the wipe. Tanks often never pay attention to mana bars and never check the healers gear. Dps classes like to pull aggro or walk into extra mobs. My favorite thing a dps or tank says when they die "No heals?!" They never notice that you are either oom or already dead due to lack of aggro gen or the hunter feign deathing adds to you. I will admit to being distracted and letting people die. I've even tabbed out mid fight to chat on aim. I've done some stupid shit but I always take the blame for it. Tanks and DPS rarely take the blame for doing stupid things. Just remember its not always your fault no matter what people say.

Now that I have that out of the way. I just wanted to add that I bought a bag of skittles from a vending machine and I was so ready to taste the rainbow. There was only one problem. ALL OF THE SKITTLES WERE ORANGE AND GREEN! Last time I checked the rainbow had more than two colors. I want my 50 cents back.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Time for me to slip into a food coma in a few hours. While I was taking the screenshot above someones turkey pet photobombed me. I'm thankful for my ingame friends. I love you guys so much! I'm thankful blizzard decided to release the shattering before thanksgiving. The non nerdy things I'm thankful for are my family, friends and where my life is right now. I'm very happy with everything (except this damn coughing!) in my life right now. I'm thankful that my significant other loves video games as much as I do and fully understands what I mean when I say "Omg WE just WIPED to BQL Srsly" I'm thankful for you guys out there reading this. I love to write and you guys make it possible!

Sick Rage

So, I've been sick now for 2 full weeks. All I do is Cough, COUGH, COUGH, COUGH!! Have you ever been so sick that you threw up from non-stop coughing? Yeah.. That's me right now. It's strange really. I feel fine otherwise. Have you ever been so sick that it makes you mad? I'm so sick of being SICK! I'm sure it doesn't help that I smoke either. This is probably a sign that I should give it up. Sadly however I would probably bladestorm someone IRL if I quit smoking. I've tried every home remedy I can think of so I need your help!

(Oh and no not all my toons are Blood Elves. I tend to favor Undead/Trolls. Honsue is just my main currently)

Hi, I'm Fabulous

I get this question a lot. "Why do you play male toons you're a girl?" "Do you have penis eveny?" "Why are you out of the kitchen?" and so on. The reason behind me playing male toons is simple. I'd rather be judged on my skill first than my tits. I'm usually the quiet one on vent just doing my job and listening. Sadly however I tend to open my mouth and that's where the trouble starts. It goes from "Wow Honsue you are a great healer" to "Wow Honsue your voice is hot now make me sandwhich" if your female then you know exactly what I mean and if you are male then chances are you are 99% guilty of doing the same thing. I'm not a crazy feminist or anything but female gamers get a bad rap when it comes to MMO's and WoW in general. Have you ever had that one female in your guild that was either the guild leaders wife or an officers girlfriend? This person is generally terrible at the game.They always find their way into main raiding slots or even hardmode attempts. They always die to standing in fire, or some variation. They always have very bad dps and have no idea how to spec/gem. The worse part of it all is no one tries to help them. No one tells them nicely that they need to fix their spec, gems, enchants and rotations. When you do decided to say something to the person they get offended. Don't get me wrong here this person isn't always female its sometimes male but rarely.

Don't I look stylish?

Females also get a bad rap in WoW for being e-skanks. Whats an e-skank you might ask. Well these are the females who make statements like "Oh ouch my boobs hurt or "I just like got out of the shower and I'm all wet" attention whores 100%. These females generally aren't terrible at the game but they aren't good either. If you play Horde they are generally female bloodelves. If you are Alliance then female gnomes or nightelves. E-skanks always try to befriend the guild leader or officers and get what they want from the guild and move on. They rage quit over loot or for not getting a raid spot. I've come across all types of females in my wow career. The worst one was the married woman who was an e-skank and her husband played along with it. She sent the guild leader nude pictures for raid spot and gold. The word got out about her naked pictures and she ended up changing her name. She is still at it though. I'll never understand why females are this way. If someone comes to you to help you make your toon better listen or take the 5 -10 mins out of the day it takes to read up on your class. There is no need to whore yourself out over a video game to get raid spots or loot. If you are knowledgeable about your class and an overall reliable raider you'll always get a raid invite.

Guide to Healing Cata instances through the Random Dungeon Finder Part 2

Yes folks it's that time again! Time to take a trip back through the Random Dungeon Finder and see what bosses await us in Cataclysm! Now on with the show!

The Stonecore: Deepholm

Level Range:82-84

Bosses: Corborus,Slabhide,Ozruk,High Priestess Azil, THE FIRST PULL OF THE FUCKING INSTANCE.

The First Pull: Once you zone into The Stonecore you are greeted by a 6 pull and your favorite gnome mage of all time. Milhouse Manastorm! So you buff up and the tank marks CC targets. However you have no CC just 3 DK's a Warrior tank and you a <insert healing class here> (disregard this if you are a shaman healer) Once the marks are out and the tank calls for CC he charges in full blast and starts to do his tanking thing. Everyone starts taking damage because they are all attacking a different targets and AoEing. Wipe and start over. This trash pack has two mobs called "Earthcallers" these earthcallers need to be CC'd or killed ASAP otherwise they summon large earth elementals who stand in place and do large amounts of AoE damage. If you lack the CC to control them then you need to have your DPS interrupt their summon spell. After wiping to the first pull the tank blames you and leaves. You leave as well and try again. You manage to finally get into a group who makes it past the first pull. Yay! /facepalm

Corborus: Alright! Boss time. This boss has two abilities. The first one is called Crystal Barrage. She will randomly focus cast it on a party member. You should move out of this as fast as possible. Sadly however that mage just stood there spamming arcane blast and took it to the face. (Sigh) The second ability is Dampening Wave which deals a small amount of shadow damage to all enemies within 60 yards and those afflicted (everyone) will absorb up to 4k healing. This isn't a large issue unless your DPS doesn't move away from the barrage. Lucky for you the DPS like to stand in things so they are making you work for it. The debuff is a magical one so its easy to dispell or just flat out heal through. Her other phase she burrows into the ground like Anub'arak and summons waves of small tiny crystal spiders. These are easy to AoE down as they have little health. Avoid the dust clouds she leaves while burrowing. Rinse and Repeat and you are good.

Slabhide: This boss is so easy a caveman can do it! Ahem, Sorry I had to. Anyways, This boss has two abilities as well. First off the dragon spawns lava on the ground. Dps WILL stand in this so prepare for that. The second ability is a falling rock type of thing. Shadows will appear on the ground don't stand in them its as simple as that. Again DPS will stand in this so prepare for them to QQ when they die.

Ozruk: This boss has some fun stuff to make a healers life a living nightmare. This boss needs to be tanked up against a wall. He has a knockback so have your tank pull him into the hallway and have the tank put his back against the wall. He also has a charging ground slam that does cone damage in front of the boss so just run through him when he does this. Oh look the rogue died because he was dpsing from the front. He also has a small spell reflect (20%), but its nothing major so the casters can keep on facerolling. This boss drops a nice caster trinket! Good Luck!

High Priestess Azil: This boss is a Dark Jedi (Sith). Force Choke, A light saber and lighting. Sound bad ass right? Well. WRONG. Once you engage this boss she will constantly summon waves of adds. These adds have very low health and die very easily. Oh whats that black circle the tank is standing in? Yep VOID ZONES! Looks like the tank just herp derped his way to the gy. Once you get back and buff back up you start again after avoiding the Void Zones you make it to her phase. She starts to throw rocks at you. These are easy to avoid so don't stand in the shadows. She will randomly force choke someone its fairly easy to heal through. This boss drops a nice healing trinket which a warlock will probably roll on.

First pull of Doom

Vortex Pinnacle: Skywall, Uldum
Level Range: 82-84

Bosses: Grand Vizier Ertan, Altarius,Asaad
Sidenote: This instance is beautiful. One of the best ones in WoW. (IMO)

Grand Vizier Ertan: When the boss is pulled he spawns whirlwinds around the room. Some of them spawn on top of him and around the room. These cause damage and slow you if you stand in them. The best way to deal with these is to group on the boss. It looks like that Huntard wants to stand at 40 yards so he's probably dead. Every 40 seconds he shifts and the whirlwinds and the shift to the boss. The best way to deal with this is to run out. You can heal through it but its the RDF so run out.

Altarius: This is a dragon boss so don't stand in front of the boss or die like that DK just did to the breath attack. This boss is very simple. There are winds around the boss and when they shift you get a buff. Stand downwind of the winds, get buff, kill boss. Simple Simple Simple.

Asaad: This is a simple tank a spank fight. (Get the hint that this instance is fairly simple?) This boss has 1 ability. He will cast a spell called "Unstable Grounding Field" Once the are of effect is up EVERYONE even the tank must stand inside of it before he finished casting his second spell "Supremacy of the Storm". That's all there is to it. Overall this instance is really easy and very quick.


Ooo Pretty Colors

Lost City of the Tol'vir: Vir'naal River Delta, Uldum

Level Range: 85

Bosses: General Husam, High Prophet Barim, Lockmaw, Siamat

General Husam: Tank and Spank fight. This boss randomly spawns glowing discs on the ground and when you stand on them they explode for medium damage and knocking back players within 10 yards of you. People will stand on these so prepare for that. He also randomly sends shockwaves in 4 directions. (These look like dust clouds) Don't stand in them they do a large amount of damage and knockback as well.

High Prophet Barim: The first boss was trolling you. This instance isn't easy. This boss hits tanks really hard. He periodically gains a buff called "Fifty Lashes" Used your healing cool downs because god forbid the tank pushes his damn buttons. (If you have a Tank by the name of "Nethres" then just leave the instance and re-queue). He will randomly summon a beam of light on a random target don't stand in it. At 50% he starts to cast " Repentance" this pulls all players to him and stuns them for 5 seconds. Once you are no longer stunned you are now in the spirit world (Yeah I know wtf raid boss abilities) Barim is immune to all attacks while in this phase, but you better believe that shadow priest is gonna try his best to kill him! A mob will spawn while in the spirit world called "Harbinger of Darkness" The tank needs to pick this up ASAP. Avoid the "Hallowed Ground" effect and kill the add. Once the add dies phase 1 repeats until the boss is dead.

Lockmaw: This boss spawns with a little pygmy named "Augh". Augh doesn't need to be tanked. He randomly casts a debuff on a player called "Scent of Blood" this will spawn 4 adds who will focus target the player with the debuff. The tank can taunt the small adds to get them off the player or you can AoE them down. They deal a decent amount of damage. Augh will randomly cast wirlwind. The tank should taunt him but since he probably wont you need to kite him. At 30% Lowmaw enrages so if you have a way to remove the enrage do it. Otherwise use your healing CDs on the tank because he won't use his.

Siamat: My god this boss is BRUTAL. I honestly don't even know where to begin. Once you engage the boss he spawn storm clouds. You should avoid these as best you can. Shortly after the pull the boss cast a buff called "Deflecting Winds" on himself. The buff makes its so he takes 90% less damage. He will stand in the center of the room in this phase and randomly cast lighting bolts at people. He doe not need to be tanked during this phase. Throughout the phase he spawns adds that need to be burned down. The smaller ones will kill themselves over time so focus on the bigger adds. After killing a few adds the boss will cast "Wailing Winds" this will send all players flying around and cause medium aoe damage. During this last phase the boss MUST be burned down before the healer becomes overwhelmed by the aoe damage. Also during the last phase he will continue to spawn small adds these should be ignored. You will wipe to this boss A LOT. Siamat is fairly hard to heal even with a decent group because of the amount of damage he throws out. Good Luck with this one. You'll need it.

Well the end of old Azeroth is here! The Shattering has hit the PTR in full swing. New class/race combos, Revamped Zones, Shiny new Orgimmar/Stormwind, and a few hidden changes! Now we all know the changes to priest currently on the PTR and if you don't here is a brife list (Thank you MMO-Champion!)

Holy
Binding Heal base healing value increased by 20%, from [ 3960 - 5091 ] to [ 4752 - 6110 ]
Greater Heal base healing value increased by 20%, from [ 6968 - 8098 ] to [ 8361 - 9717 ]
Heal base healing value increased by 20%, from [ 2613 - 3037 ] to [ 3136 - 3644 ]
Flash Heal base healing value increased by 20%, from [ 5227 - 6074 ] to [ 6272 - 7289 ]

However, there are 2 awesome changes to holy they didn't mention! First off we have Chakra. Now when you are in a Charka state the icon of HolyWord:Chastise spell changes depending on your state. This is an awesome change. Also, the built in Power Auras shows a spell effect when Chakra fades. Another welcome addition! Next we have Body & Soul. This is my fave new change. They changed the sprint portion of B&S to a new spell effect. Guide to Healing Cata instances through the Random Dungeon Finder Part 1

So, You have lost your mind. You decided you wanted to do Cataclysm instances through the Random Dungeon finder as a healer. My god have mercy on your soul because these bosses won't. Listed below is my guide to healing the random dungeon finder. Lets get started shall we.

Throne of the Tides: Abyssal Maw, Vashj'ir
Level Range: 80-81

Bosses: Lady Naz'jar, Commander Ulthok, Erunak Stonespeaker, Ozumat

Lady Naz'jar: This boss is fairly easy. She has two phases. Phase one is a tank and spank. She will randomly cast a blue vortex that your dps will stand in and they will probably die. The vortex throws you up in the air and you take a nice amount of falling damage. As a healer its your job to let the retards who can't avoid these die. Phase two she becomes invulnerable and spawns adds. Your DPS in the group will continue to hit the boss while she is immune to damage while your tank keyboard turns to pick the adds up. As a healer you'll die to the adds while the DPS blame you for dying. Once you gather your body and get buffed up again you manage to some how down the boss and the mage need rolls on the spirit cloth. You make your way to the next boss.

Commander Ulthok: This boss is a really fun boss. This boss spawns void zones that tick for a huge amount of damage. Your DPS will stand in these and die. These can and will spawn under the tank. If your tank suddenly takes huge amounts of spike damage he's probably standing in one. If your dps manages to live through standing in a void zone RNG will probably play an evil joke on you. This boss always has a squeeze much like Kologarn in Ulduar. It does 5k damage every 4th second for 20 seconds. You can't heal yourself if you happen to be squeezed so make sure you keep yourself topped off. If you manage to make it past this boss I commend you.

Ernuak Stonespeaker: This boss is actually really fun unless you have bad luck. If you are anything like me then you have terrible luck. This boss starts out as a mind controlled NPC. Phase one is fairly simple, Dps the boss to 50% HP to release him of his mind control squid. Once the Squid has been release he turns into a mindless one. The mindless one will jump on the person with the highest threat. Once he is on the persons head that player must be brought down to 50% HP. That's right payback time for those retards who have no idea how to avoid stuff. The mindless one jumpped on the mage and he decides its a good time type in chat "Lol afk for a bowl" You secretly wish he would choke and die on his "bowl" Repeat the mindcontrol stuff 3-4 times depending on how decent your dps is. While the mage is still afk move on to the next boss.

Ozumat: Oh boy, where do I even start. This fight is a huge cluster fuck for the RDF. You have to defend Neptulon from Ozumat. The fight starts off with swarms of none elite adds. As a healer you'll be doing a lot of tanking in this fight. Hope you are ready for it. As you watch your tank keyboard turn his way around the room you die a little more inside. As the smaller adds die more powerful adds begin to spawn. These adds need to be picked up by the tank. Oh did I mention theres a stacking dot on everyone and the boss now spawns void zones along with adds? Yeah you read that right. The DPS need to focus target the "Mindless Sappers" once they all die phase 3 can begin. Yeah I know asking people to focus fire in the RDF is like asking a mage for a table or a pally for a buff. Its just not going to happen. If you manage to get these guys down you hit phase 3. In phase 3 Neptulon gives everyone a buff 500% Health, Healing and Damage. You must down Ozumat in 60 seconds. Which SHOULD be fairly easy given the buff. There you have it. That's how to heal ToT via the Random Dungeon finder.

Throne of the suck

Blackrock Caverns: Blackrock Mountain, Searing Gorge

Level Range: 80-81

Bosses: Rom'ogg Bonecrusher, Corla, Hearld of Twilight, Beauty, Acendent Lord Obsidius

Rom'ogg Bonecrusher: This boss is easy. He only does two things, but those two thing require DPS to pay attention. *facedesk* He randomly spawns earth quakes on the ground. DPS will probably stand in these and die. If they manage to avoid these then his next ability will kill you all for sure. Every so often he will pull everyone on top of him and begin casting an AoE spell. To break free of the chains DPS needs to DPS the main chain down. Since this is the RDF you'll probably die to this. If you manage to down the boss without the group falling apart then kudos!

Corla, Hearld of Twilight: This boss can be done two different ways. The easy way and the still easy way but requires thought process. So, Lets do it the retard friendly way. This boss has 3 adds channeling purple beams. They are harmless until the beams turn them into dragons. They hit the tank really hard when they are in this state but if you focus fire them down you can dps the boss. Yeah, I know asking DPS in the RDF to focus fire is a bad idea but the other option is worse I promise. After the adds are down DPS the boss. Simple as that.

Karash Steelbender: Haha, this boss has fire which is my personal fave. There is a center pilar of fire that your tank must drag the boss through it. Once your tank drags him into the fire the boss can begin to take damage. However, Once in the fire he starts to do an aoe attack. The longer he's in the fire the more damage he does which will lead to your group wiping. So its up to the tank to drag him into fire hold him there for 3 stacks and then move him out. You repeat this process until the boss is dead. This will be painful on you as a healer. If the tank is horrible he'll end up walking through the fire which will kill him or he will keyboard turn and leave the boss in there too long. Either way prepare for a wipe.

Beauty: Another boss with fire. This one however will require your DPS to avoid it. This fight is very very very simple. Avoid the fire patches and dps the boss. This boss has 3 little baby corehound adds. All three of these adds can be pulled at the same time. However. try to avoid killing Runty. That will cause the Boss to enrage which if you are in a bad group is going to wipe you. If you manage to down this boss without wiping to fires then congrats!

Ascendant Lord Obsidius: This boss has two dwarf adds. These adds must be kited. They can be slowed, rooted and frost trapped. They will switch places during the fight and do a soft enrage. You want to continue to kite the unenraged one while killing the enraged one. That's it there is nothing else to the fight. All you have to do is have DPS kite an add. Easier said then done.

Oi, I'm sick. It's times like this I wish I was a priest IRL. I'd cast a few spells and BLAM all better. Anyways, I'm all done with Eastern Kingdoms! Loremaster is proving to be a major time sink but it's bringing back such wonderful memories. Do you remember the first time you set out on your first quest? I'm going to tell you guys the story of my very first character in World of Warcraft.

I played WoW when it was in beta for about 2 weeks. I mostly played Alliance but decided I would go horde because I liked the way the Forsaken looked. Well, I thought warlocks were neat in beta so I made one. I was a little tiny level 4 when I ventured outside of deathknell. I wanted to see what was on the other side of those walls. I began running to Brill getting attcked by a few darkhounds along the way. I even died once because I thought it would be a good idea to check out that neat little farm along the road. Those zombies did not fall for the whole me being a zombie thing. Once I made it to Brill I saw the neat towers just outside of the small town. I thought "Oh wow what are those?" and off I went to check them out. As I climbed the long and winding staircase I saw the zeppelin pulling up and was blown away. I quickly hopped on the zeppelin and waited for it to take off. I was excited to know where it was going. Now, I had a pretty terrible computer back in the day. It took me a really long time to load on loading screens. Once I loaded all the way in the zeppelin was still moving so I thought I would hop off it and explore my new found lands. Bad idea. The zeppelin was hovering over the thunder lizard cavern and I died upon landing on the ground. I had no idea you couldn't jump off those things like that. I released and started running back towards my body. I got very lost and by very lost I mean lost for almost 45 mins. I was so frustrated that I logged off and deleted that character. I said to myself ok this time I won't go adventuring until I know more about my surroundings. I made a male undead rogue with a purple mohawk and named him Anthrax. We went through some epic times together. I remember when I first stepped foot into Shadowfang Keep. I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever seen in a video game before. Anthrax and I had a hard time trying to figure out how rogues worked but once we got the hang of working together we were an awesome team. We stabbed, kicked, blinded, and posioned our way to 60 in about a month.

Shortly after I was 60 I joined a raiding guild. I knew what raiding was from my experience with running UBRS. However, I had no idea what I was getting into. I farm and farmed and farmed to get my full shadowcraft set. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I mean who doesn't like a ninja hood? I know I do. I must of run UBRS 30 times to get the chest to drop. I remember yelling "WOOOOOOO" really loud at 3am when I finally got it. My dorm neighbor wasn't happy. The night I joined a raid group for a place called "Molten Core" I was excited. We ran through and attuned people about an hour prior to the raid starting. I got on a little program called Ventrilo and started chatting. Before I move on.. Back then female WoW players were unheard of and the harassment I got then gave me the thickskin I have now anyway back to the story.. after vent chilled out we all started to zone in and bam I was instantly hooked and we hadn't even started on trash yet. I was taken back by the amount of people we had. There were 40 people that was a lot more than the 15 we had in UBRS and the 10 we had in Stratholme! We managed to kill two bosses that night. I made out with a pair of nightslayer bracers. My very first purple. Anthrax and I raided our way through Vanilla WoW slaying deadly bosses and grabbing their phat loots. With each passing day my skill grew stronger. I remember the first time I had someone comment me on my playing. We were mid way through a Blackwing lair raid and we just wiped to Chromaggus. The raid leader opened his mic channel to yell at us for wiping. I remember his exact words. "Listen we need to stop wiping to bosses we know we can kill. The dps is aweful. Guys, you are being beaten by a girl. Anthrax is third on the DPS charts. How does that make you feel?" I was grinning from ear to ear. I know its not really a compliment but to me it was. I stayed with that guild until the bitter end. The guild eventually parted ways when we got stuck in Naxx. Anthrax is still there to this very day forever locked at 60 and he will always have a special place in my heart. As will vanilla WoW. I will always and forever remember Azeroth as it once was. Please if you read this share your WoW memories with me. Let us have an epic nostalgia session.

Cooldowns, How do they work?

Today you get an added bonus post. We have a tank in our guild who doesn't use his tanking cooldowns. As a healer you know how annoying this is. He's a Deathknight. I KNOW I KNOW I'm not hating on Deathknights but its very typical right? Anyways, Yesterday we're doing HM Sindra and our MT died in Phase 3 twice in a row and we were running by a few ways to save the wipe if it happened again the following conversation took place on vent.

Raid Leader: "DK can't you just taunt and Pop your CD's on Frost Breath while we Battle Res the Pally"

Pally Tank:"Yeah that sounds like a good idea"

DPS Guy: "You're asking him to use his Cooldowns?"

DK: "I don't use CD's on Frost Breath"

Healers in the healing channel: "WHAT?!"

Anyway we killed it on next attempt without the MT dying in P3. This is just a public service announcement for tanks out there. Call out your tanking Cool Downs over vent or use the add on that says when you've used your CD's in raid chat. This will save your ass in sticky situations and help the healers know when to rotate their healing CD's. You'll make things a lot smoother. /Signed Healers Everywhere.

You Were Prepared!

I may of said this in a post a few weeks ago but I plan on getting a server first achievement on my priest. The past two weeks between raiding, Loremaster and work I've been gathering things to prepare for the grind. I've built a pretty nice Shadow leveling spec from 80-85. If you are a reroller I'll post it in a level by level format. Lets get down to it shall we.

General Info:

Set Your Hearthstone to Orgrimmar or Stormwind prior to 4.0.3a but do not log out in the city. Your toon may become stuck in walls, rocks, the ground and buildings.
Get your Justice Points to the cap. 4k This will allow you to get a jump start on getting geared for Heroics/Raids.
Decide which starting zone you are going to hit first. My personal suggestion is Hyjal. The questing flow is slightly better here which is key for powering through. However, Once you've leveled don't skip out on the beauty that is Vashj'ir.
Clear your bags. We all know questing is the fastest way to to power level if you do it properly. Leave all your healing/pvp gear in the bank. If you don't have full 24 slot bags buy them. They'll save you an extra vendor trip. (If you are on Wyrmrest Accord Horde I'll make you some bags)
Respec your second spec to an optimized leveling spec. (Check below for my suggested shadow leveling spec.)
Make or buy buff food. Every little bit helps to speed the process of killing mobs. I suggest pure SP or Haste food. 60-80 should be enough.
Buy or Make Health/Mana pots. I suggest 80 of each. These will lower downtime and help in a pinch if you grab adds while questing. (The mobs hit a lot harder than they did in Wrath. Think TBC and dying in Hellfire.)
Use any left over raiding flasks while leveling. These will help speed up the process of killing mobs and they won't be useful @ 85.


Mana Mana

Now that you have gathered the stuff that will help you along your way while leveling in game it's time to buff your health bar IRL.

Staying awake:

Keep cool. Warm closed off rooms will make you sleepy faster. It'll drain your mental energy fast.
Drink ice cold water. It'll help you stay alert and if you start to feel the sleep creeping in splash some cold water on your face.
Chew gum or breath mints. Anything minty will help you stay awake.
Low Carb snacks. Fatty foods will slow you down faster. Fruit and Veggies will give you the energy you need.
Every hour or so stand up and take a stretch.
Turn on all the lights in the room. The darker it is the more you'll want to sleep.
Find a leveling buddy to chat with on vent or pump some upbeat tunes. (Personal fave Techno.)
If all the healthy stuff isn't you then stock up on 5hr Energy. However the crash from this stuff will be bad so prepare for that.

Its bad for you but oh so good.

Now for the fun part! Lets build a Shadow Leveling spec. I know you crazy people out there who want to level as holy or disc but lets face it guys Shadow is the fastest way to level. I'm going to break this down per level bracket to help all you rerollers out there and you guys leveling from 80-85.

Levels 10-19

2/2 Improved Shadow Word: Pain
3/3 Darkness
1/2 Twisted Faith

Levels 20-29

2/2 Twisted Faith (1 point from last level)
3/3 Improved Mind Blast
1/1 Shadowform

Shadowform at level 29 is awesome. It makes lowbie leveling so much faster.

Levels 30-39

2/2 Improved Devouring Plague
2/2 Improved Psychic Scream
1/1 Vampiric Embrace

The nerf to VE makes this damn near worthless for endgame but while leveling every little bit helps so I decided to take it.

Levels 40-49

1/1 Silence
2/2 Masochism

1/2 Veiled Shadows
1/1 Vampiric Touch

Silence I've added for caster mobs and its needed if you are leveling at higher levels on a pvp server. Silence is a must! Don't forget to purchase Dual Talent Specialization. It's only 100g now and at this level healing instances as shadow becomes troublesome.

Levels 50-59

1/2 Pain and Suffering
2/2 Harnessed Shadows
2/2 Veiled Shadows (1 point from last time)
1/1 Psychic Horror

Pain and Suffering is just filler for now to help you progress down the tree. It's not very good for leveling at low levels. Psychic Horror is good CC for PVP servers and decent CC in instances.

Levels 60-69

3/3 Shadowy Apparition
1/2 Phantasm
1/1 Dispersion

Here is where the fun begins. Outlands mobs will die really fast while will allow you to pull more than 4-5 at a time. AoE SW:P and Shadowy Apparitions are fun.

Levels 70-79

3/3 Twin Disciplines
2/2 Improved Power Word: Shield

At 78 you can travel to the new Cataclysm zones where the mobs hit A LOT harder than they did in Northrend. Imp PW:Shield is a must for lowing downtime.

Levels 80-85

2/2 Evangelism
1/1 Archangel

Yeah, I know its nerfed now but more damage output = faster killing = faster leveling. Use the last two points where ever you see fit. Going back and maxing out Phantasm is what I did.

Glyphs
This is an easy one.
Prime: Dispersion, SW:P, and Mindflay
Major: Pyschic Horror, Spirit Tap, Pyschic Scream
I went with the Physhic scream glyph because feared mobs like to bring friends to the party. Faster CD on Horror is nice while leveling.
Minor: Levitate, Fortitude, and Shadow Fiend.

Well that's it guys. This is the spec I plan on using. Is it perfect? Nah probably not I'm sure there is some crazy numbers guy out there who has a better spec. Stay tuned for my instance guides and how to find them post over the weekend. I probably won't post it until Saturday. I mean a girl has to see the new Harry Potter!

I've been working on Loremaster for the past week. Well, For the time my priest wasn't stuck in the Twisting Nether. As I sit here looking around at the Burning Stepps I realize this is one more thing to add to my "Hate List". I'm like an old grouchy lady. I hate everything and the older I get the worse it gets. So today my fellow gamers I give you my hate list. The list is made up of stuff in games in general and in real life.

MMO's with insane UI's. Aka Lord of the Rings. I mean really what is all that shit on the UI? I get it you went Free to Play, I don't need to see the shop add pop up everytime I level.
The people bitching about the Female Worgen Model on MMO Champ. GET OVER IT.
Wrath of the Lich King Heroics.
Deathknights. Its not because everyone and their mother has one. I just hate the way they play. I've tried countless times to level one and I always give up around 65-67. The play style is too close to being like a ret pally with dots for my taste.
People who drink can soda with a straw. I mean really?
People who assume all gamers are neckbeards or fat women. Not all of us are mouth breathing window lickers.
People who use "Gay" when referring to somthing that is dumb, stupid,lame, retarded and so on.
"Relax man it's just a game" Yes, its just a game that you are terrible at.
People who spam trade chat with song lyrics. Just a small town girl..
Ads on you tube videos. I understand you're trying to make money. Go away with the ads before videos. Stick to banners and sidebar ads.
Talking ads. "CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE KNOWS YOU ARE AWAKE NOW HAHA!"
People who stare. I mean don't get me wrong I like to people watch just as much as the next person but there is a limit to how long you stare!
HERP DERP HURR DURR. This stopped being funny a long time ago.
People who type "alot" it's A LOT not alot.
People who sit too close to you in waiting rooms or stand too close to you in line.
Close Talkers. You know the ones. HEY LETS GET IN EACH OTHERS FACE AND CHAT. I do not want to smell the garlic you had for lunch kthx.
That one person in your guild that EVERYONE hates and is pretty awful but no one bothers to ever say anything about them.
Facebook spammers. I DON'T CARE IF YOU JUST GOT OUT OF THE SHOWER!
E Skanks. I mean really? You feel the need to whore yourself in a video game?
Badlands Quests. The amount of craftable items you need from the quests here is ridiculous.

Now for part 2 of my hate list.

Socks. I hate these things. They might make your feet warm in the winter but my fuzzy slippers do the job just fine.
People who post screenshots of battle ground stat menu. Grats you did damage in a BG. You were probably that asshole camping the bot in the Alliance GY while the rest of us were actually running the flag in WSG.
People who ask trade "Whats the best spec for x class" Guys, Its called Google. Use it. It takes 5-10 mins of reading to figure out the most played spec of your class. All with detailed info on how to play it.
People who don't understand how gemming in WoW works. Just because that socket is blue doesn't mean a BLUE gem has to go in it. They make hybrid gems for a reason.
PvE nerfs to balance PVP. Honestly blizzard make pvp trees and specs for PVP. Leave the PVE players alone and Vice Versa
Ke$ha Please crawl back into your trailer and just die already.
People who constantly ask you "What ya doing?" When clearly they can see what you're doing.
Sports fans. I don't like sports and you don't like video games. So why do you think I care about the Flyers game? Do I tell you about me killing The Lich King? Nope Didn't think so.
Gold Spammer whispers. Ex: "Hey Whats up?" *Shift Right click* [Stolenaccout Level 1 Shaman, Durotar] It always makes me feel like someone actually wants to talk to me. HUGH LET DOWN
Warhammer Online's PVE. Yes I know its a PVP game but seriously Mythic you could of tried a bit harder with the quests.
The shitty amount of XP you gain in low level battlegrounds in WoW. Give us XP for killing players blizzard. Make it have the old honor diminishing returns.
The way people think its raging when you disagree with their statements about their gear.
People who correct you in the middle of a sentence. I realize I dunno how to pronounce that word. Do I care? No and you shouldn't either. (Side note these people are fun to piss off.
Twilight. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Twilight is only for gay men, little girls and lonely old fat women/housewives.
Guild Rules against "bad words" I'm sorry but if your child plays online video games he/she has already seen the word fuck and if not from video games then from school. Turn on the profanity filter if you are offended by "bad" words.
The fact that Guild Wars has no jump button. What a stupid thing to leave out of a game.
People who stand on top of NPC's with their mounts.

People who hover in Dalaran on their flying mounts. Grats you have a Green Proto Drake. So does the rest of WoW.
People who afk during heroics, raids, BG's and group quests to "Smoke a Bowl" Then complain about dying, wiping, losing and not getting quest credit.

Me every time someone afks to smoke pot.

As you can see I can keep going on forever.but I won't. I think this is enough for now. Stay tuned for more posts this week. Loading Screen of Doom.

Picture it: You log in to WoW just a few minutes before raid time to gather flasks and whatnot. You've been working on achievements so the nearest city is Thunderbluff. You hop on a flight path and head to the city only to crash while flying over the rolling pains of Mulgore. You pick up your authenticator and attempt to log back in. As you sit there waiting at the loading screen you realize its taking a lot longer than it normally does. You hang your head knowing you have to Alt F4 and try again. After trying four or five times you decide to disable addons to see if this works. The loading screen some how seems to take even longer now. You hang your head down even further now. You realize that your toon is stuck in the twisting nether and you're going to have to get help from a game master. You sigh in frustration because you know what the outcome will be.

Just your everyday GM party.

So, You log into an alt explain to your guild why you can't raid and open your ticket. "We are currently experiencing a high volume of petitions" This doesn't phase you. You already knew that would be the outcome. You goof around on your alt while listening to your guild attempt hardmode Halion. You check the clock and realize it's been a few hours and still "We're currently Herp Derping". You log off in frustration. You spend the rest of your night watching "The Venture Bros" and relaxing.You decide to check your toon one last time before bed. Damnit, Still can't log in. You check your alt to see that status of your ticket. "Lol, Do you really think we care?" Sigh, You decide its time for bed after all there is always tomorrow.

Makes Perfect Sense.

Day Two: You get off work and head home for a snack and some raiding. You sit down at your computer and suddenly it hits you. Damn Damn DAMN... You'd forgotten about your toon being stuck. As you type in your authenticator code you hold your breath. Loading... Loading... LOADING.. FUCK!! Looks like another night of not raiding. You sigh and log into your alt to see about your ticket. "You really thought We'd answer by now? LULZ" Sigh, You decide to just log off for the night. You realize it's not worth waiting. You lurk around facebook and 4chan all night and you check your e-mail a few hundred times in hopes of getting a beta invite. Maybe you are just hoping for some glimmer of hope in the darkness. After you've had enough FBF pics and trap threads on 4chan you head to bed. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day?

It haunts your dreams...

Day Three: You had the day off so you slept in til 3. You grab a bowl of fruit loops and plop down in front of your computer. You check your email, facebook, MMO-Champion, and all your other daily sites. You load up WoW and decide to check your bank alt first. Awesome, all your auctions sold! Even those way too overpriced glyphs. Looks like today will be a good day! You select your main and attempt to log in. The loading screen flashes for a second and bam booted back to the select screen. What the fuck? You rub the sleepiness from your eyes and try again. Same thing, The loading screen is trolling you. It's mocking you. You could of swore you saw that nightelf pointing and laughing at you. You've had enough. It's time you called tech support, because the in game support just isn't responding. You take a deep breath and dial the number. After a series of menus you are stuck on hold. The music blasting through your phone is Star Craft 2. Ahhh, you set your phone to speaker and lay is down on your desk. You mutter to yourself "Why must the music be so loud" You browse around on the web for a bit. You check the time. Has it been 10 minutes already? Sigh.. You continue to surf around passing the time. Finally 29 minutes later "

You: I've been having issues with my toon. I crashed a few days ago on a flightpath. I was having issues with be stuck at the loading screen. Now the loading screen flashes for 2 or 3 seconds and I'm booted back to the select screen.

"Ruining your day guy" Did you delete your WTF folder? or run the repair tool?

You: Yes, I've tried all the basic stuff. I've had an open ticket in game for 3 days with no response.

"Ruining your Day Guy": Do you mind if I place you hold for a 2 minutes?

You: Well seeing as you did nothing for me now I guess not.

You sigh in frustration. You realize that compelete morons work for blizzard tech support. You log in your alt and update your ticket to add the issues you chatted about with the Tech support guy and log off. Your day off is mostly gone now. You play some Dragon Age and watch TV. You check your ticket status before bed. "We are currently pointing and laughing at you" Grrr.. You are starting rage fairly hardcore now.

Day Four: It's 10:30 am EST. You just finished talking to a GM. The GM tells you that he is sorry for taking so long to answer your ticket. You chat with the GM for a bit and he offers to give you 3 days of playtime for the inconvenience.

Sorry for this long and drawn out post. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for an in game issue to be fixed. I've been playing WoW since it was in beta. I know I know I should just relax blah blah blah. I think 3 days is more than enough time for in game service that you PAY for to assist you.

Well, it's been three years since the Headless Horsemen started burning down villages and shouting lovely poetry. The Headless Horseman is one of my all time favorite bosses. His voice over is perfect and the model is fab. However, I hate him. I've been farming him every Hallow's End only to have him laugh at my face and never drop the mount for my priest. I have the mount on 4 other alts. I think he hates my priest. There's still one more day for my priest to pry that mount from his cold, lifeless body. IT WILL BE MINE!

I thought I would make this a post all on its own. I tend to forget that most people aren't as open minded or outspoken as I am. I often offend people with my shock and awe chat. I frequent 4chan and other message boards like 4chan so things just don't shock me anymore. A few guildmates were talking about the recent Blizzcon and the costume contest. One of the comments was " I would feel so nerdy just watching that. It would make me sad knowing that somewhere there might be a fat nerd beating off to this" of course I piped in and said "It's really no different than some Non fat nerd beating off to schoolgirls, furry porn, henti and whatever other kink there is" Things took a downward spiral after this. We some how ended up talking about other fetishes and strange human sexual taboos. Someone finally stepped in and asked "Why are we even talking about this in guild chat?!" This isn't the first time I've offended someone and it probably won't be the last. I'm just surprised that people still get offended by stuff like this. I know we should have respect of other peoples feelings when being in a social group or when chatting in guild chat, but should you really be offended by words? I just wish there were more people like me out there. I don't judge people by what they are into or what they look like. I don't care if you are nerdy, geeky, fat, skinny, gay, black, white, asian or whatever label society wishes to place upon you. I see you for who you are. Personality matters to me 100% and if you aren't fun to be around then I don't want to know you. Anyway, I guess it was wrong of us to chat about such "xrated/dirty" things in guild chat. Super Happy Beta Fun Times Go!

It's been a while since I posted some beta stuff. I've been goofing off doing heroics and testing priest beta play. Holy priests couldn't be anymore perfect. I love the way holy plays now. I still feel that Disc lacks the POW of holy. However, Disc will still be a key player in a 25 man raid setting. Leap of Faith is super fun in PVE and PVP. Clueless melee standing in whirlwind? Mage pissing you off? Warlock likes to Lifetap for no reason? LEAP OF FAITH!

Before anyone hates on my lack of keybinds just know this. They reset for some dumb reason every time I log off beta. Anyways, on to more fun things. Cataclysm is really shaping up to be the best expansion Blizzard has done. I know a lot of people are still in "shock" due to all the changes that hit live recently but trust me when I say this: Cataclysm will restore your faith in Blizzard! I've never had this much fun questing. I hate questing in Vanilla, TBC and Wrath. Wrath did bring some new questing styles to WoW that other games have been doing for a long time. The much needed ingame cut scene, and Blizzard has really put this to good use in Cata. Uldum is full of cut scenes and there are a bunch in the revamped old world as well. The one thing I've always loved about Blizzard is that they always find a way to hide pop culture references throughout the game. Cataclysm is no exception to this.

I've also been leveling a worgen mage and tonight I did a random instance. When I saw the loading screen was wailing caverns I was tempted to say fuck it and just leave but I stuck it out. We got to the escort part and I tempted to leave again until I saw the most beautiful thing I've seen so far in all my time in beta. The escort NPC started running. That's right folks he started RUNNING. I couldn't believe my eyes that after five years of slowly walking to rescue Narlax he finally started to run. I'm still shocked about it as I write this post. On another note of awesomeness. The Worgen starting area has one of the best staff graphics I've even seen in game. It's a shame that this graphic is on a green and that it's replaced in 3 levels. The staff is actually animated with rose pedals falling off of it. Its beautiful and a Role Players must have.

Lately I've been finding myself just disgusted by the WoW community. Scilla and its battlegroup is wrought with drama, trolls, assholes and just over all shitty player attitudes. You can't do a random daily without someone being an ass. "You're gear is so bad just quit the game and life." Just an overall unpleasant experience. Then a week ago while leveling an alt on an RP server I was doing a bit of auctioning and I was stunned by the trade chat. They were discussing lore, trading and there was a PUG forming. I decided to ask the raid leader of the PUG what their min gearscore requirement was and I was shocked to see him say "We don't use gearscore on this server. Link your achieve or come let me inspect you" We all know how gearscore has spread around Azeroth faster than the plague so you can see why I was shocked by this statement. I decided I would sit around an just watch tradechat on this server to see how things work. There were a few trolls here and there, but not once was there a link spamming Thunderfury or any mindless nonsense. It dawned on me that maybe I wasn't just sick of the overall WoW community but the server group I was playing on. It was then and there I decided screw it I'm getting the hell off of Scilla. I've always wanted to play on an RP server, but was too worried about how to get started. Anyway, I am now on Wrymrest Accord and I couldn't be any happier with me move. I can't wait for Cataclysm now.

4.0.1 hit yesterday. The tears on forums and in-game have been flowing like the southfury river. I have to agree with some of the people complaining though. I played around with shadow in beta and while I was pulling some impressive numbers I knew it was too good to be true. The ability to spam shadow word death is far too much fun to resist. I also played around with tanking on my paladin. It was a huge change. Pally tanking is nothing like it used to be. We've gone through two expansion with it being the same basic rotation and its a hard habit to break. I haven't touched my warlock since the patch hit and frankly I just have no desire too. The same goes for my shaman. I do miss playing her but it sorta broke my heart when I leveled her to 80 and took off all her T6. Oh how I miss my lighting ninja shaman! LONG LIVE BRAIN HEAL! Ahm, Sorry I got a little carried away there back to the actual point. Something that people are failing to realize is that numbers aren't actually balanced around level 80 game play right now. Blizzard has already stated that numbers won't be "right" until we've leveled to 85. I mean people are going so far as saying "I'm unsubscribing this sucks so bad its horrible I don't do any damage" and so on. While I agree that Melee dps is a bit under tuned right now but you can't just give up. I'd see it as more of a challenge personally. I mean get out there and hit that target dummy and run World of Logs to record your dps. Don't just sit there and bitch about change hit it head on!

With the release of 4.0.1 we got the early start of the Cataclysm event. Earthquakes can be felt all over Azeroth. There are faint whispers among the citizens in Azeroth that there is a cult causing all the earthquakes. If you pay a visit to Grommash Hold in Orgimmar you'll see the leaders of the horde having a meeting about all the stuff that's going on. Now, if you know anything about the events that are about to take place then you already know what I'm about to post. If not then you are in for some serious SPOILERS. As you can see above this is the early onset of the conflict between Vol'jin and Garrosh. I personally dislike the fact as horde we have Garrosh in Thrall's place. Through questing in the newly revamped old world he does tend to grow on you however. There is a huge debate about this very thing over on MMO-Champion and its being beaten into the ground. It may turn out that he's exactly what the Horde needs in the troubles ahead. I just don't agree with it. Cataclysm is bringing some HUGE changes lore wise and I'm excited to see them beyond what is in beta at the moment. The whole questing line in Mount Hyjal was a huge loregasm. I won't spoil that for you, but if you really wish to know you can head over to MMOC to scope it out. I think that's it for now. Sorry if this update has been bit random. I'm just in a random mood I guess. Remember CHANGE IS GOOD! Embrace it!

Group Etiquette 101

Picture it: You log into to do your daily random heroic and prepare for raids. You're random queue pops up and you enter the instance.

Things seem to be going to just fine until the group manages to wipe. You release and start the run back to the instance and one of the DPS decides to say something.

[Random Gearscore Natzi: ] Wow, did we really just wipe in (insert random faceroll WOTLK heroic here). You guys are terrible! HOW DO YOU WIPE IN A HEROIC WITH A 56554633887464 GS!!!??!

[Tank:] I didnt get any healz so I died.

[GO GO GO DPS:] CAN WE JUST GO ALREDY PLZ?!?!?!

[Afk Healer:] Sorry lulz dog on fire lulz.

[Gearscore Natzi:] wow rly healer? You should just go kill yourself because you dont deserve to live or play wow. Fin blizzard and they're walfare lewtz.

[Calm DPS Guy:] Do you really need to be rude? We wiped get over it. Stuff happens. Lets just regroup and finish the heroic.

[Natzi:] You know what you guys are so f'in fail. Have fun with your shitty gear and shitty heroic I dont have time for this shit.

This is a common scenario when dealing with people via the random dungeon finder. What should you do when you encounter people through the RDF?

The WoW community as a whole has long since gone downhill. People are rude, crude and plain old mean. I know,I know its the internet blah blah blah. I always try to be the friendly open nice person when doing randoms. I mean you wouldn't walk up to a stranger on the street and look down your nose upon them because they don't have the same clothes as you do etc. Here is an easy way to deal with people through the RDF.

DO: Be nice. Remember the old saying? "If you don't have anything nice to say. Don't say anything.

Don't: Don't be that guy. You know that guy. They guy who tries to ninja pull an entire instance and then ditch the group. This is just childish and 90% of the time it doesn't work.

Don't: Don't get upset when you wipe once or twice. Pay attention to whats going on and find the reason why you are wiping. Is the healer afk? Did the hunters pet aggro 3 extra trash pulls? Pin point the issue and work to fix it.

DO: Buff. If your class can buff do it. If your a mage drop a table. If your a Warlock Soulstone the healer and drop a Soulwell. These things can save a wipe. If you are a Paladin buff!

DO: If you are a pet class turn your pet off of agressive. Growl off if you are a hunter. Pets can sometimes the cause of wipes.

Don't: Don't judge a book by its cover. Who cares if the tank is in blues? You were once undergeared and had to do heroics to gear up.

Don't: Don't rush the tank. One of my pet peeves as a tank or healer is a DPS class spamming "GO GO JUST GO ALREADY GO GO GO" in chat. Relax. If you want to carry the pace of the instance roll a tank.

DO: Watch your aggro. If you notice the tank is undergeared or the healer pay attention.

Don't: Don't take long afks. Things come up at the worse time its understandable but try to take your afks before you join the group/raid.

DO: Chat with people and be openminded. You'd be surprised at the amount of nice people you can meet in the RDF.

Don't: Don't roll need on everything you can use just to vendor it. Yes its probably worthless to most people but you never know if someone in the group actually needs it.

Don't: If you are a tank don't just charge into every pull without paying attention to the healers mana. Some undergeared healers still have mana issues in heroics.

DO: If you are a rogue/hunter misdirect the tank or tricks him.

Don't: Healers Please don't afk without saying a word. Type out "Afk" or "Just a sec"

Don't: Don't always click accept on the Vote to Kick. Ask why we are kicking the person if it isn't clear. Ask questions. 90% of the time the person doesn't deserve to be kicked.

DO: Vote to kick people who are afk for longer than 5 mins.More than 5mins is an unreasonable time to afk in an instance/raid.

DO: Be helpful. Is the tank not holding aggro? Did he forget frost presence? Righteous Fury? Is the hunters pet on agressive? speak up but be nice about it.

Don't: Don't be rude to people who don't know what they are doing. Remember there are people who are new to WoW.

DO: Have fun. Remember its a game and its meant for enjoyment.

I'm sure I've forgotten some things but these are just basics. Cataclysm will soon be out and things will change. Raids and Dungeons won't be as easy as they are in WOTLK. Don't give up when you wipe. Always remember this song when you judge people for being a "noob".

Friendship and Relationships.

You know the old saying: "You can't have real friends online." I disagree with this a lot. I have a handful of online friends that I've had for years and I believe they are just as close as out of game friends if not closer. I just don't understand how people can say that your online friends aren't "real". Why aren't they real? They are real people. They have everyday lives just like I do. Sure interacting with people online is easier than face to face, but isn't it true that the more you know about a person the easier it is to talk to them? In our generation its becoming more and more common that people have more online friends than "Real Life" friends. Lets look at Facebook for example. Facebook is THE online socializing website. It's a great way to find old friends who you've lost contact with or old co-workers. People also use it to keep in contact with family who might live across the country. Facebook has become acceptable for people to have just online friends so why can't you have online gaming friends? I know people who use WoW as a $15 a month chatroom. They log on chat with friends for a while and log off. There are guilds out there in WoW that have been around for 5 years with the same members. I'm sure they feel that they are all close friends.

Online relationships are a touchy subject. People generally tend to look down upon people who have found love via an online video game. Lets get a few things out in the open. Some gamers are socially awkward myself included. While I am out spoken I'm always misunderstood. I'm a very blunt and to the point kinda person and its generally misunderstood as being bitchy or rude. I'm also not your average female. I don't like shopping, most girly things, and whatever it is that females are into. ( I don't even know lol) I like video games, cartoons, movies, comics and music. In social situations with non- gaming females I never ever know what to talk about. It usually ends up with me being quiet and awkward. It's the same for me when it comes to talking to males who aren't into games and such. I met the love of my life through WoW. Yes that's right folks I met my boyfriend online. We've been together since May 5th 2007. We met in November of 06'. It was the end of Vanilla and I was looking for a pvp guild. We clicked immediately. We talked over the months and got to know each other. He drove 2,000 miles to get me and we never looked back. We rarely fight and if we do we can't stay mad at each other longer than 10 mins. I love him more than words can describe. I always tell people our story who are in these types of relationships to give them hope. Online relationships can be hard. The distance is painful but if you get enough courage to meet outside of the game you'll be surprised.

Friendships and Relationships can be found anywhere. Don't let people tell you that you can't have friends online. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't find love on a video game. You can find that person who shares the same interests as you. Also to all you WoW trolls who said We would never last. Ha in your face.

I got to thinking earlier today while consistently crashing in beta about Wrath and what it meant for me. A lot of people tend to agree that Wrath of the Lich King was "Too Easy", "Had terrible raids", and "Gave away too many Welfare Epics". While I agree with this all on some level it has given a lot of great things along with all the boring content. Wrath had some wonderful quests. Wrathgate was one of the best quest lines in the game. It brought the in game epic cut scene to WoW. Blizzard heard our plea for more questlines like this and put a ton of them in Cataclysm. Phasing is also a wonderful tool. It allows the player to change the world through questing and events. It makes you feel like you've changed the story instead of seeing the guy you killed 20 mins later. Blizzard did a great job with the questing aspect of Wrath. Sure some zones were boring as hell, but others more than made up for it.

Raiding however was very bland. Naxxramas was far too easy in my book. Yeah it was the entry level raid but far too easy. Lets take a look at previous entry level raids. We'll start with Burning Crusade. Karazhan was an awesome raid instance. It was challenging and the learning curve of boss encounters was somewhat difficult compared to Vanilla. Karazhan had everyones favorite boss THE ANIMAL BOSS!!! Kidding, We all know I'm talking about Moroes! Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon's lair are ok. The learning curve on Mag's lair was too high at the start of the expansion if you ask me. Naxxramas offered very few challenges. The main challenge of Naxx was how long could your raidleader could remain calm after wiping to Thaddius for the sixth time. Naxx did however introduce us to raiding meta achievements. I love achievements. They are one of my favorite things to work on when I'm not raiding and they can offer a more challenging way to defeat an encounter. I never got a chance to finish my Naxx achieves before they took the drake away but I loved working on them.

One more for dinner tonight.

Ulduar was a fantasic raid. Blizzard really hit the nail on the head with this one. My only complaint with Ulduar was I never finished my Val'anyr!! (this was mostly due to people getting 15+ shards and transferring off the server but that's a whole other story in itself!). Ulduar was challenging on normal modes for your average WoW player. Yogg-Saron was fairly difficult. The amount of coordination you needed was definitely a step up from Naxx. Ulduar hardmodes brought a whole new challenge to the table. Iron Council hardmode seemed impossible forever. I still have nightmares of doing firefighter and One Light in the Darkness took me forever. So long in fact I didn't finish off Ulduar achives until December of last year. Overall Ulduar was perfect in my book.

HALING FROM THE DEEPEST DARKEST CAVERNS OF ICECROWN: THE WORSE RAID INSTANCE IN WOW HISTORY! Trial of the Crusader was the worse raid instance Blizzard has ever dreamed up. While the idea was good the instance itself was very very bland. However 25 man hardmode Anub'arak was impossible for my guild. Healing that fight was by far the most challenging thing I've done since Sunwell. We never managed to do it. ToC was just bad overall. A one room raiding instance with very few bosses and probably the worse looking tier gear in the game. Honestly what were they thinking by making everyone look identical? Blah. That's really all I can say about ToC. I'd like to forget it ever happened and I'm sure Blizzard feels the same way. (Maybe??)

INFERRRRNNOOO!

Icecrown Citidel the mother of all raiding instances or is it? We brought the fight to Arthas. We tore down the walls of Icecrown. (sort of) We waited for months for the chance to kill Arthas. I like the idea of releaseing the bosses one wing at a time. It gave you a chance to gear up and really get the hang of the boss encounters to prepare you for the hardmodes. When you first walk into ICC you are taken back by the over all visual. The instance itself looks amazing. The bosses meet you with the same amazing visual. I think ICC is just right in terms of challenge. However, the ICC buff is just far too much for normal modes and some hardmodes. ICC brought a new type of raiding encounter. A fight where your healers are your dpsers. Dreamwalker is a great encounter from a healers perspective. There is one thing about ICC I dislike besides the buff. The fact that you get the same title for killing Lich King in 10 man and 25 man. I believe there should be two different titles much like the hardmode versions. I give props to any guild who can kill Lich King 25 hardmode by the way. That fight is not "easymode" by any means. My whole raiding experience in Wrath of the Lich King has been fairly bland. Ulduar, ICC and Malygos (I love his voice over and he looks awesome) were great instances overall.

My Terrible UI

Gearing in Wrath of the Lich King has been really easy. Every new raid instance they change the currency to coincide the new raid. While this makes gearing alts easier it also causes players to ignore the other raids. While this really isn't a draw back for WoW verteran players its bad idea for new comers to raiding. While some of those raiding instance should be forgotten until the end of time they still offer a chance for new players to grasp the idea of raiding. Heroics just don't do that. If you are brand new to raiding and you step foot in ICC chances are you wont make it past the first four bosses. The looking for group system has been a wonderful feature though. I love it. I'm weird I actually like doing randoms with people I don't know. It gives you a chance to meet new people and see others play style. I just wish more people talked in random heroics. Overall Wrath of the Lich King hasn't been a bad expansion. It's had its moments of greatness and its moments of failure. I do not like the ending of Wrath however. The whole Bolvar being the new "Lich King" seems forced, but that a whole other post all in itself. Is Blizzard headed in the right direction with Cataclysm? Only time will tell.

What a long strange afk its been.

I've been away for a while. I took a much needed afk from WoW, but not entirely. I've been playing Cataclysm Beta. Yes that's right I'M IN THE BETA! First off let me just say this. All those videos, screenshots and articles do not do justice to how awesome Cataclysm actually is. The game feels like a brand new one. From the first steps on the ship to Vashj'ir to the epic dive into deep holm almost every plot quest is voiced. You end up getting fully immersed in the game and that's a good thing. Sure there are bugs, crashes and unfinished content, but the stuff that is done is amazing.

Currently beta allows you to faction, race, sex and name change your toons at random. I assume blizzard is just testing features. I took full advantage of this. I've been having issues getting my actual priest copied over to the beta servers so I grabbed a premade priest and dove headfirst into healing and questing. Lets start off with Vashj'ir. I was worried about a fully underwater zone. Everyone hates underwater quests, and if you say you don't YOU ARE IN DENIAL! The boat ride over to Vashj'ir was awesome. All the NPC's were fully voiced, and the voice acting was actually good. I was mind-blown.

RELEASE THE KRAKEN!! Ahem, Sorry it had to be done. Anyways, That can't be good.

The Kraken sinks your ship and as you drown the Naga try to gank you like a lvl 80 rogue keyboard turning his way to victory. A friendly earthen ring member comes to your rescue and your first questing hub is a sunken ship. The very first quest you receive is called "Sea Legs". The reward is a buff that increases your swim speed by 60% and allows you to breath underwater. While on the bottom of the ocean you run at what seems to be 70-80% run speed. There is no need to be worried about an underwater zone. This zone so far is nothing short of amazing.

Now, On to priest stuff. Disc is really fun for leveling so far. The mobs in Vashj'ir starting area are level 80-81 so things died fairly quickly. It's hard to judge from this small amount of experience but things are smooth. In case you were wondering I'm in full questing greens and 2 blue items. I have 89k HP, 65k Mana, and 3700ish sp. I'm really liking disc a lot. The archangel talent is a lot of fun and you know priests needed more wings graphics. That is all for now folks. Don't be like this chick.

We all use Ventrilo or some form of voice communication when we raid, pvp, or just hanging out while questing. Often there are things people do on vent that they shouldn't. Here are a few do's and don'ts.

DON'T open your mic channel when you feel the need to burp. No one wishes to hear you burp no matter what you think. "But its funny!!" Often it can be comical but when the raid is in the middle of a boss fight it's not the time.

Do open your channel when you have something useful to say. Raid leaders like to hear feedback, ideas, and other strats when wiping to a new boss. Don't be afraid to speak up.

DON'T play music over vent. It often sounds terrible and far too loud to even understand.

DON'T use speakers and mic. This causes feedback when other people try to speak when you have your mic open. THIS SOUNDS AWFUL. It's terrible. Buy a headset they aren't expensive.

DO use a push to talk key. Unsure of how to set this up? Open Ventrilo > Setup> Select Push to talk> Disable Sound Click> Input the key you wish to use. Its very simple. Still confused? Email me and I will give you step by step directions.

DON'T open your mic when you have fan blowing towards your face. We can't understand you. It sounds like you are trapped in a hurricane. Please do not do this. Point the fan away from your face or just do not speak.

DON'T call out every time you die in a raid. As a healer this is extremely annoying. We know your dead. We watched you die from standing in that <inset clearly easy to move out of AOE effect> You will receive your battle res when the time is right.

DON'T speak over other people. This is very annoying. VERY VERY VERY annoying. If someone is wrong in the way they are explaining something then wait until they are finished. Chances are someone else is going to tell them are wrong.

DO make sure to use Ventrilo normalization. This is a wonderful option. You'll never have to turn people up or down again. Here is how you do it.

- Go to Setup

- Enable Direct Sound

- Select the SFX Button

- Select Compressor and click Add.

- Under Compressor Properties use the following settings

- Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)

- Attack = 0.01

- Release = Around 500

- Threshold = Around -30

- Ratio = 100

- Pre delay = 4.0

DON'T open your mic if you are in a loud room. We do not care to hear your mother, wife, screaming children, or barking dogs on vent.

I'm sure I've left out a few annoying things. Vent is great tool for raiding. Try to make using vent as pleasant as possible. Thank you :)

I decided to check MMO-Champion like I do everyday, and I log in to find that I've been banned. This confused the hell out of me. Apprently I was banned due to this post.

Well, there are no words for this. Star Wars: The Old Republic released a space combat trailer at Gamescon this week. If you've been living under a rock then check the video below. I can't express how much this excites me. Eve Online has always teased us with flying combat and Star Trek: Online tried to do it but failed. I've been a fan of Knights of the Old Republic since the game came out. It is an amazing Star Wars RPG. Bioware is doing it so right here. The only thing that saddens me is that the space combat isn't multilayer yet. I'm looking forward to playing a Jedi Consular. They look like a lot of fun. Enjoy the trailer below :)

Another thing that looks amazing is this. I myself have never played Warhammer 40k but I've read a bit about it and the lore for 40k is awesome. I've watched my boyfriend play 40k for years now and he talks about it a lot. I know most people tend to shy away from fully CGI movies, but you should give this one a chance. First Impressions and Weekend Fun.

I joined a new guild on my priest this week. It's a Horde Guild on Scilla <The Panic Attacks>. The guild is 11/12 Hardmodes and currently working on HM LichKing like a lot of other guilds out there. Like everyone else when they join an new guild, I wanted to make a good first impression. Well as many WoW players know last night the loading screen was keeping players from logging in. We had a few issues with it. A handful of people got disconnected including yours truly. We ended up with tons of downtime due to the issues which always sucks for overall moral. We did manage to get in a few solid attempts to work on phase changes. After around the 5th or 6th attempt my internet decided to drop. What an awesome first impression. Why is it when you want your net to go out it never does, but when you really want it stay on it goes out. I couldn't tell you how many times I've begged it to go out back in the day when we wiped for weeks on Lady Vashj and Mu'ru. Oh well, I can only hope my healing, well Bubbling made up for lack of a solid connection.

This weekend I plan on playing through Dragon Age Origins and Awaking again. I greatly enjoyed it. Biowear really knows how make a great RPG. I really love the story and the game play is really well done. I prefer the city elf storyline over all the others although I've still yet to play through the game as a mage so I think that's what I'll choose this time. Oh, Before I forget my Hunter alt is already level 57. I can't wait to breeze through outlands and hit northrend. Enjoy your weekend! I know I'll enjoy mine.

The long wait ahead of us before Cataclysm hits release is starting to take its toll on me and my friends. ICC has run it course for me. I'm sick of looking at the frozen halls of Icecrown and watching Tirion fumble to find his pally bubble during the Lichking encounter. I still want to play WoW and have a good time but even alts are starting to get boring. Achievements have their potential since I have a ton of unfinished ones I could goof around and do. I've also been toying around with the idea of starting over on an RP server but I'm very RP shy. I've never done the whole RP thing before and I'm afraid I'd be terrible at it. I've only played DnD a handful of times and even then we end up goofing off instead of playing. If anyone out there knows a great RP server weather its Horde or Alliance drop me a comment and we'll come check it out.

I'm looking forward to so much in Cataclysm. Exploring all the new zones, revisiting old favorites and leveling my army of alts. I think the one thing I'm mostly looking forward to is the new profession Archaeology. It sounds like its right up my ally. I love collecting stuff. I have 4 or 5 teir armor sets, 93 vanity pets, tons of weapons and loads of RP type items. Archaeology sounds great from what I've read. Going out in the world and digging up things from the past. I also can't wait to start my goblin rogue. I've always wanted to be able to play a goblin in wow. I think they are adorable. Don't get me wrong Worgens look like a blast as well but I don't think I'll make one for a long time.

All the priest changes look great as well. I'm not sure how I'll like holy in Cata but that remains to be seen. I'm really disappointed in the lack of changes to the lightwell talent and the fact that you have to take it to get Chakra. I've always liked the idea of lightwell but the way blizzard has executed it is very poor. I remember when the ToC 5-man instance came out and I saw the lightwell spell the NPC's had and I thought man that's a great way for lightwell to work. Who knows though its still beta and things could change. I really hope they rework lightwell and make it worth taking. I love all the changes to the Disc tree however. Archangel sounds awesome I can't wait to try it out. I also can't wait to see the new priest teir models and weapons. Like I said above I love to collect stuff. I still rock out in my T6 from time to time. Sadly however it looked better on me when I was undead. What are some things you are doing to cure your boredom with wow until Cata comes out?

First off I have a huge love/hate relationship with pvp. Everytime I arena it's always with a bad comp because I want to play with friends for "fun". It's always fun at first until your partner goes "Druids don't have any good CC moves" and you realize they aren't casting cyclone. ( no offense Geoff <3) I remember the good old days of playing a resto shaman skillhearld arms warrior in season 2. We had loads of fun but we always lost to druids. As I stated in a post a few days ago I've been leveling a hunter by doing battlegrounds. Hunters seemed to be very easy mode at low levels until we hit the 40-49 bracket. Things started off semi ok until we got a game with 5 warlocks 4 rogues and one lonely 40 pally. Let me tell you that being feared by 3 locks at the same time while 2 rogues are on you is no fun what so ever. Battlegrounds are only fun when you have friends with you. Otherwise you have that one guy who is talking in all caps "OMG YOU GUYS SUCK DICK I ALWAYS WIN GAMES BLAH BLAH HERP DERP I R GUD" and when you open the BG stats menu they are always sub 5k damage and have 1 death. The class is usually a rogue or deathknight as well. I will admit this though. I enjoy killing the botters in pvp. Arenas are a whole different kind of hate. No one likes losing games and when ratings are involved you hate it even more.

I used to play as a disc priest which is VERY easy to play in pvp. I dislike the lack of control you have over the enemy. Playing a healer in pvp is nerve wracking. The amount of burst some classes have is ridiculous. I tried my hand at shadow for a while and I had loads of fun doing it. I however didn't like the fact that if the enemy team had an enhance shaman I was basically dead before the match started. I really hope that Cataclysm fixes most of the pvp imbalances and makes it fun again. I miss Burning Crusade pvp and Vanilla world pvp. I'd personally like to see a buff in pvp much like the one in Warhammer online where when you get stunned, rooted, feared, blinded, and generally anything that makes you lose control of your character you'd get a buff which would make you immune to those effects for 5 seconds. I'm not saying make it exactly like that but something close would be wonderful. There is nothing worse than watching teammates die in arenas and battlegrounds while your CC'd for the 9th time in a row. Perhaps its just my lack of skills in pvp that make me hate it, or maybe it really is as imbalanced as I think it is. What do you hate about pvp? What do you love about it? Got any tips for me? Its no secret. I'm an altoholic . Just recently I've been working on my vanilla rogue. I've joined a horde guild on Scilla called Vanillaclysm.I've been having tons of fun farming and doing all those old quests. The battle for Darrowshire has always been one of my faves. It took me around 26-27 Headmaster Gandling kills to complete my shadowcraft set. I'm slowly starting to upgrade it because Darkmantle looks awesome. I've also been leveling a hunter pvping mostly. I know hunters in low level BGs are 100% unfair, but come on you have to admit its fun as hell! My friend Geoff also rolled a hunter. Focus fire plus two hunters = dead players. We're up to level 37 after around 2 days played which isn't bad considering the small amount of questing we've done. I really really really REALLY wish Blizzard would increase the amount of experience gains in battlegrounds, or make it so you get small amounts of experience for killing players in BGs. Warhammer did this really well. That is one of the very few things I liked about that game. The lore was great and the leveling via RVR combat was fun even if it was a grind.( RVR = Realm Vs Realm combat for those who don't know). Geoff and I have a fun game we like to play in BGs. Anyone who is on "That Retarded Horse" is an automatic kill on sight. You would be amazed at how many times they die before they figure it out. We had a Retardin Pally who finally stopped using his after around 20 deaths or so. We've decided we are going to make the hunters 80 and just BG on them until Cata comes out. My question is: "What's the most fun/best way to spec a hunter for pvp?" Leave me a comment or share your alts with me!

Have you ever had to change your glyphs depending on what fight your doing? Do you PVP on a regular basis and have to respec your second spec? Well never have to pay those high auction house prices again.

Glyphs

All glyphs are now found in the spellbook of each class on beta servers. Ultimately, classes will learn glyphs as "spells" and will only have to buy the glyph once to definitely learn it and swap it at any time.

This is awesome news. I know that I often have to respec my second spec from Disc, DPS, and PVP specs. I've spent at least 800 gold or more changing my glyphs. The AH prices on Scilla are rather steep when it comes to glyphs. This is a very welcome change for sure!

I'm really digging the new Chakra changes. The Discipline tree looks awesome as well. Archangel for shadow seems great. I wish I was part of the beta club! Stay tuned for more thoughts on these changes shortly.

Discipline

Focused Will now reduces all damage taken by 3/4% (up from 2/3%) and increases healing on you by 4/5% (up from 3/4%) after taking a critical hit. Can now stack with Blessed Resilience.
Grace now also affects Heal.
Archangel now also increases your frost damage when used as Dark Archangel (Shadowform).
Twin Disciplines now increases damage and healing done by instant spells and the damage absorbed by Power Word: Shield by 2/4/6%. (Up from 1/2/3%)

Holy

Chakra is now a Tier 5 (Down from Tier 6) and 2 Ranks (Down from 3 Ranks) talent. Revamped - When activated, your next Heal, Renew, Prayer of Healing or Smite spell will put you into a corresponding Chakra state. Lasts for 30 sec. Heal - Increases the critical effect chance of your Heal spell by 10%, and your Heal refreshes the duration of your Renew on the target. Renew - Increases the healing done by your Renew spell by 10%, and reduces the global cooldown of your Renew spell by .5 sec. Prayer of Healing - Increases the healing done by your area of effect spells by 10% and reduces the cooldown of your Circle of Healing by 2 sec. Smite - Increases your total damage done by Shadow and Holy spells by 15%. 6% of base mana, Instant cast, 1 min cooldown
Test of Faith is now a Tier 6 talent, up from Tier 5.
Lightwell is now a Tier 3 talent, down from Tier 5.
Spirit of Redemption is now a Tier 3 talent, down from Tier 4. No longer increases total Spirit by 5%.
Holy Concentration is now a 2 Ranks talent (down from 3 Ranks) and now increases mana regeneration from spirit by 10/20%. (Up from 5/10/15%)
Divine Touch is now a 2 Ranks talent, down from 3 Ranks.
Deliverance (Tier 3) is now named Serendipity (Tier 4). When you heal with Binding Heal or Flash Heal, the cast time of your next Greater Heal or Prayer of Healing spell is reduced by 6/12% (Up from 3/6/9%). Stacks up to 3 times. Lasts 20 sec.
Improved Holy Nova is gone.
Improved Healing is now a 2 Ranks talent, down from 3 Ranks.
Inspiration is now a 2 Ranks talent, down from 3 Ranks. Now reduces your target's physical damage taken by 5/10%. (Up from 3/7/10%)
Divine Fury now reduces cast time by 0.15/0.35/0.5 sec. (Up from 0.1/0.2/0.3 sec)
State of Mind *New* (Tier 6) - Your successful Heal, Renew, Prayer of Healing or Smite spell casts increase the duration of your corresponding Chakra state by 4 sec. Passive.
Heavenly Voice added as a Tier 5 Talent. Your Divine Hymn also heals you for 12/20% of your total health during its duration, and the channel time of your Hymn of Hope is reduced by 10/20%.
Blessed Resilience added as a Tier 5 Talent. Critical hits made against you have a 30/60% chance to prevent you from being critically hit again for 6 sec.
Desperate Prayer is no longer a skill and is back as a Tier 2 talent.

Shadow

Mind Spike revamped - Blasts the target for 1082.81 to 1144.05 Shadowfrost damage, and increases the critical strike chance of your next Mind Blast on the target by 30%. Stacks up to 3 times.
Shadow Word: Death cooldown changed to 10 sec, down from 12 sec. Damage increased by 10%.
Mind Flay now deals damage over 3 sec, down from 5 sec.
Vampiric Touch no longer deals damage if dispelled.
Twisted Faith is now a Tier 2 (Down from Tier 5) 2-Ranks (Down from 3 Ranks) Talent. Revamped - Increases your chance to hit with shadow spells by 1/2%, and grants you spell hit rating equal to 50/100% of any Spirit gained from items or effects.
Mind Melt now stacks up to 2 Times. (Down from 3)
Empowered Shadow Orbs is now named Harnessed Shadows.
Improved Mind Blast now gives your Mind Blast a 33/66/100% (up from 20/40/60%) chance to reduce all healing done to the target by 25% for 10 sec.
Improved Devouring Plague is now a 2 Ranks talent, down from 3 Ranks. Revamped - Your Devouring Plague instantly deals damage equal to 15/30% of its total periodic effect.
Paralysis *New* (Tier 5) - When you critically hit with your Mind Blast, you cause the target to be unable to move for 2/4 sec.

So there I was doing a daily random for frosties on my warlock with my friends and this guy happens to be our healer Clueless Priest . Like many wow players I inspect him which horrified me but hey its just a heroic who cares about gear. We happen to be in Heroic: Forge of Souls which if you are a healer and undergeared you know the trash pulls can get a little hectic. Things were going rather well until we hit the trash pull before the first boss. I notice I'm sitting at sub 3k health for the longest time, so I start to drain life and look to see if the healer is low on mana or just maybe he went offline. I'm a little thrown off by what I see he was just spamming prayer of healing while standing at least 50 yards away from the group. I took a close look at recount and notice he hasn't casted anything other than prayer of healing the entire time. I asked him why he wasn't casting PoM, CoH or Renew. He replied with " That takes too much time". We barely finish the instance alive and we collect loot and get the hell out. I decided I would armory him and take a closer look at his talents etc. What did he do wrong? Why do I care? Well its simple really. WoW isn't a hard game to play at all. It requires minimal reading skills and some sort of an attention span. I know I shouldn't be bothered by people who are like this but I can't help it. Anyone have any horror stories from the Random Dungeon Finder? Share them with me.

Hi my name is Honsue. I'm a 28 year old female gamer and healing is my passion. I've been playing WoW since closed beta back in 2004. My very first toon was a male undead rogue. (Gotta love that laugh). I remember the very first time I stepped foot in MC. I fell in love right there on the spot with raiding. I rogued my way through MC, BWL, AQ 40 and I was even one of the few people to down most of the bosses in Naxxramas. Sadly though Naxx became the downfall of our guild. One late night I decided I'd roll an alt. I always liked to way shamans looked and they seemed so fun to play. Spammie the female orc shaman was born. I leveled my way to 60 and quickly found a love for pvp. I joined a PVP guild and met some awesome people. (I know I know I should just get to the story.) When BC came out I didn't have the heart to level my rogue. I decided to keep him at 60 and chose to level my shaman. I think I might of been level 62 or 63 when I decided to spec Spammie resto and I never looked back. I chain healed my through Kara, Gruul, SSC, TK and BT. I LOVED healing! I love playing the support roll in raids, instances, and pvp. On the server I was playing on and in our guild we were always short on one thing. SHADOWPRIESTS! A friend of mine had a priest who was level 61. (I know I know I cheated!! I didn't level it from level 1) He gave up wow and I'd always wanted to play a priest so I took the priest and never looked back. I played as shadow all the way through to Sunwell and early Naxx. I'd heal on night we were short but other than that I never really healed until Wrath. I still love healing and my priest is number one in my heart. This is my story.
